Who is Ramazan TURAN?

Attorney Ramazan TURAN completed his LL.B. degree at the Faculty of Law of Selçuk University in 2008 and earned his Master’s Degree in Public Law in 2019.

He successfully completed the Postgraduate Specialisation Programme in Energy and Arbitration Law at the Ankara University BTHA Institute in 2015, the Sports Law and Management Specialisation Programme at Kadir Has University in 2017, and the Postgraduate Specialisation Programme in Commercial Law at the Ankara University BTHA Institute in 2021.

In 2025, he completed the Expert Witness Basic Training Programme at Ankara University.

Since 2009, he has been practising as an independent attorney registered with the Bar Association, providing legal consultancy, legal advisory services, and litigation support to both public and private sector clients in the fields of Energy Law, Real Estate Law, Sports Law, Public Procurement Law, Labour Law, Commercial Law, and Administrative Law.

Throughout his professional career, he has successfully handled numerous domestic and international cases and projects by combining his strong legal foundation, continuous professional education, certification programmes, and extensive practical experience.

Alongside his legal practice, Attorney Ramazan TURAN has actively pursued professional development in the field of mediation since 2009 by participating in numerous training programmes and conferences organised by the Union of Turkish Bar Associations (TBB), the Ministry of Justice, the European Union, and various national and international organisations. He has also attended many mediation, advanced mediation, and conciliator training programmes and seminars supported by the Mediation Department of the Turkish Ministry of Justice.

In 2010, he represented Türkiye by delivering a presentation in English at the international conference titled “Contemporary Trends in the Development of Arbitration and Mediation in Central and Eastern Europe and Certain Asian Countries.”

Following the enactment of the Law on Mediation in Civil Disputes (Law No. 6325), which formally introduced mediation into the Turkish legal system, he began practising professionally as a mediator, focusing particularly on Commercial, Labour, and Insurance Law.

Having witnessed that mediation often enables parties to achieve more satisfactory, cost-effective, and lasting outcomes than litigation, he completed his mediation training at Hacettepe University in 2015. After successfully passing both the written examination and oral interview conducted by the Ministry of Justice, he was registered with the official Registry of Mediators maintained by the Ministry of Justice.

Since becoming a professional mediator, Attorney Ramazan TURAN has served in a large number of disputes as both a mediator and conciliator. Guided by the belief that effective communication can always lead to constructive solutions, he has developed significant expertise in Commercial, Labour, and Insurance Law.

Building upon his extensive experience in dispute resolution, he aims to contribute to social harmony, commercial stability, and industrial peace through mediation. In 2018, he successfully passed the first Conciliator Examination organised by the Directorate General for Alternative Dispute Resolution of the Ministry of Justice and became a certified conciliator.

He is currently registered as an official Conciliator with the Directorate General for Alternative Dispute Resolution of the Ministry of Justice.

In addition, as an accredited instructor approved by the Ministry of Justice, Attorney Ramazan TURAN serves as a lecturer in certified mediation training programmes organised by various universities.
